If the holes don’t line up, avoid forcing the pieces together, as this can cause damage. Loosely attach all screws and bolts in their respective holes first, allowing some wiggle room. Once all parts are in place, gradually tighten the screws and bolts evenly. If the misalignment persists, double-check the parts and instructions to ensure they are correctly positioned and oriented.

Ensure stability and levelness by assembling the furniture on a flat surface and checking each step for alignment. After completing the assembly, place the furniture in its intended location and use a level to check for evenness. Adjust the feet or use shims under the legs to correct any wobbling. Tighten all fasteners securely to maintain stability.

Prevent stripping screws by using the correct screwdriver or drill bit size that matches the screw head. Apply consistent, moderate pressure and turn the screw slowly to avoid over-torquing. If you encounter resistance, back the screw out and realign it before trying again. For particularly stubborn screws, a bit of lubricant like soap or wax can help ease them in.

Make disassembly easier by taking detailed notes or photos during the assembly process to reference later. Keep the instruction manual and any spare parts in a labeled bag or folder. Consider using reusable hardware, like furniture connector bolts, which can be easily removed and reinserted. Label each part with masking tape and a marker to remember their positions and orientations.
